73% of Gen Z report feeling lonely or sometimes or always due to social media addiction and less real interaction.
However, during the holiday season, both lonely Gen Zand elderly individuals can experience feelings of isolation.
Airbnb presents "Holiday Home", letting local elderly hosts open their homes to lonely Gen Z who have nowhere to go on holidays. Airbnb creates a special new category just for Gen Z, and runs ads on Spotify with a welcome invitation.
By connecting these two generations, Airbno creates a unique, heartwarming holiday trip for both parties, which instills a sense of shared humanity.
